Moving to a larger magickal understanding

I am reading the book The Witch's Bag of Tricks: Personalize Your Magick & Kickstart Your Craft, this is one of the first exercises.

1. Think back to when you took your first steps down the magickal path. What excited you? What intrigued you? What where your doubts?
One of the things is was most moved by was not only the concept of the female divine but more importantly the idea of personally reasonability. I was mostly afraid of the was others would treat me and whether the spiritual gains would be worth the change.
2. How far are you willing to progress spiritually?
When I am inbarked on this journey I  was a lost and hurting person with nothing to ground myself in.  I want to look back and not recognize that person.
3. To what extent would you like to develop your psychic faculties?
I am looking to hone my skill so that I can be a conduit to help others to the best on my abilities without personal feelings getting in the way of my readings.
4. What role do consciousness, will, and intent play in magick, and can magick work even if one of these components is not present?
I think that only when one can work all of the aspects of magick that you can be successful.
5. What is the best, most ambitious use of magick you can think of?
To heal. That has been and always be my answer to that question.
6. If you were capable of performing such magick, would you?
Yes. I think that while some pain helps a person grow and change. If you can help someone who ask for help you should do so. I will never be able to watch someone suffer needlessly.
